Ship to Shore
Commercial transfer of fuel or water to remote communities
The commercial transfer of fuel and or water to remote communities raises many logistical challenges to the operators involved. Angus Flexible Pipelines ship to shore systems offer a reliable, environmentally sound and simple to operate solution to the problem of transferring fluids in such locations.
Compared to the more traditional approach of using solid hard wall hose on large reelers, the footprint and weight of an Angus Flexible Pipelines system is significantly less. At the heart of such a system is the Offshore 850 layflat hose which comes in up to 200m lengths and has exceptional tensile strength. It also has a high degree of buoyancy which means in normal conditions it requires no additional floatation equipment.
Usually, the Offshore 850 is supplied as part of a system consisting of the hose, reeler (skid or trailer mounted) and a pigging unit to purge the hose after use.
